Wednesday, September 28th

2:15am: While on patrol an Officer located an open business door in the 100 block of North Chestnut Street. The Officer checked the property and secured the door.

2:48am: An Officer was dispatched to a business in the 100 block of West Washington Street for an alarm activation. The business was secure and the alarm was reset by staff.

3:47am: An Officer assisted the Greene County Ambulance Crew on a medical call in the 100 block of North Walnut Street.

8:50am: The Greene County Attorney’s Office reported a male on the courthouse property with a valid Greene County Arrest Warrant. An Officer and a Greene County Deputy responded. As a result, Brian Clausen of Jefferson was arrested for the warrant with an original charge of “Assault Causing Bodily Injury”

11:01am: Michelle Higgins reported her vehicle had stalled on 220 th Street near the intersection with North Elm Street. The Officer checked on the vehicle and found it was not obstructing the flow of traffic. The vehicle was later removed by the owner.

12:38pm: Katrina Buttler of Jefferson reported a two-vehicle accident having occurred at the intersection on Elm Street and Washington Street. The Officer investigated and found the following. Alice Holmes of Woodward was operating a “2005” Buick Lesaber Custom on North Elm Street near the intersection with Washington Street. Katrina Buttler of Jefferson was operating a “2005” Buick Lesaber. Holmes failed to yield upon making a left turn. Buttler’s vehicle received approximately $3000 in damage. Holmes vehicle received approximately $1000 in damage. Alice Holmes was issued a citation for “Fail to Yield upon Left Turn”

1:02pm: An Officer preformed a traffic stop near the intersection of Olive Street / Lincoln Way. As a result of the traffic stop, Gwendolyn Kissel of Jefferson was issued citations for “Fail to Have a Valid License” and “Fail to Obey Stop or Yield Sign”

1:25pm: Louis Dryfuss requested a welfare check on an employee who was staying at the Redwood Motel in Jefferson. The Officer was able to find the male’s location and determined he was not in need of assistance.

1:47pm: An Officer assisted the Greene County Ambulance Service with a medical call in the 500 block of West Adams Street.

3:05pm: Richard Gliem of Jefferson reported smelling what was believed to be marijuana coming from a residence in the 400 block of South Elm Street. The Officer is investigating.

3:11pm: Kyle DeMoss of Rippy reported seeing a male and a female involved in an argument in the parking lot for HyVee. When the Officer arrived, the male had left the parking lot. The female reported the argument had not been physical.

4:01pm: Angela Milakovich of Jefferson requested a welfare check on a family member in the 100 block of North Olive Street. The Officer preformed the welfare check and informed Angela of the findings.

6:33pm: Ken Molle of Jefferson reported a dispute he was having with his adult son, Mike Molle. The Officer mediated the situation and assisted in separating the two.

Thursday, September 29th

12:29am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 106 West Washington Street. The officer found the business to be secure.

12:32pm: Eric Crystal reported the Theft of $10.00 in pop cans from 705 West Sunset Rd. The officer is investigating the report.

2:05pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 400 Block of Greenewood Rd.

2:25pm: Bruce Banister reported a male in a vehicle screaming at 705 West Sunset Rd. The officer spoke to the subject, who advised he was yelling at his dog. He was trying to get the animal to get into the vehicle. The officer advised him to keep the noise level down, or possibly face a criminal charge. The subject left the area.

3:16pm: An officer investigated a Backing Accident in the 500 Block of East Monroe Street. A 2018 Ford Transit Van, owned by Imagine the Possibilities and operated by Karyn Parker of Jefferson, was backing from a private drive and struck a parked vehicle on the street. The 2003 Ford F150 was owned by Kory Schubert of Jefferson. The transit Van suffered a reported $1000.00 in damages. The Schubert vehicle had a reported $200.00 in damages. Parker was cited for, “Unsafe Backing upon a Highway.”

4:37pm: Lewis Jackson reported damage to a door at 206 S. Georgia Street. Nothing appeared to be missing from the residence.

5:06pm: Maria Quintero reported a Careless Driver on Neola Street, who had followed her to Jefferson and continued southbound.

11:18pm: A caller advised of a possible Intoxicated Driver at 777 Wild Rose Drive. The caller advised the male subject stumbled out of his vehicle and walked into the casino. The officer located the subject inside and saw no signs of impairment.

Friday, September 30th

2:03pm: A traffic stop in the 700 block of N. Elm St. resulted in Jaxson Moody of Lincoln, NE being issued a citation for Excessive Speed.

3:38pm: An Officer was called to the 300 block of W. Reed St. in regards to an argument between family members. The Officer spoke to those involved and problem was resolved.

4:28pm: An Officer assisted EMS in the 500 block of W. Adams St.

5:22pm: A traffic stop at N. Grimmell Rd. and W. Central St. resulted in Matthew Brant, of West Des Moines, being issued a citation for Excessive Speed.

5:38pm: A traffic stop in the 600 block of W. Russell St. resulted in Jake White, of Jefferson, being issued a citation for Excessive Speed.

7:45pm: An Officer was called to the 100 block of W. State St. in regards to a vehicle alarm activation. The Officer checked the vehicle. Nothing out of the ordinary was discovered. The owner was advised.

9:49pm: An Officer was called to the 1900 block of N. Mulberry St. in regards to an audible alarm activation. The Officer checked the area. The alarm was not heard and nothing out of the ordinary was discovered.

Saturday, October 1st

12:23am: An Officer was called to the 300 block of N. Wilson St. in regards to loud music. The Officer found the source of the music and spoke to the person responsible. The music was turned down.

6:18am: An Officer was called to the 200 block of S. High St. in regards to a dog running at large. The Officer subsequently issued Titus Brown, of Jefferson, a citation for Animal Running at Large.

8:42am: An Officer was called to the 300 block of S. Wilson St. in to perform a welfare check on a subject. The Officer determined the subject was fine and did not need assistance.

11:36am: An Officer arrested Austin O’Connell, of Jefferson, on a Greene County Arrest Warrant.

12:31pm: An Officer was called to the 200 block of N. Elm St. in regards to a violation of a No Contact Order. The Officer investigated and determined a violation had not occurred.

1:33pm: An Officer assisted a motorist near Clark St. and Grimmell Rd.

5:35pm: A traffic stop in the 1600 block of N. Elm St. resulted in Taylor Gierstorf, of Boone, being a citation for Excessive Speed.

6:59pm: An Officer was called to the 700 block of W. Washington St. in regards to two juveniles involved in an ongoing verbal dispute. The Officer spoke to those involved and worked toward a resolution.

9:45pm: An Officer assisted EMS at Park Ave. S.

11:27pm: An Officer was called to the 800 block of S. Chestnut St. in regards to a 911 call. The Officer determined that the call was an accidental dial.

11:54pm: While on patrol, an Officer saw a car door standing open on an unoccupied vehicle in the 600 block of N. Olive. The Officer made contact with the owner. It was determined that the door was accidently left open.

Sunday, October 2nd

1:26pm: An Officer was called to the 300 block of N. Maple St. in regards to a possible “Facebook scam”. The Officer spoke to those involved and provided advice.

3:48pm: An Officer was called to the 700 block of S. Locust St. in regards to loud music. The Officer found the source of the music and spoke to the person responsible. The music was turned down.

4:17pm: An Officer was called to the 700 block of W. Harrison St. in regards to a family dispute and a possible trespass. The Officer is investigating.

5:39pm: An Officer was called to the 200 block of E. Perry St. in regards to harassment and trespass. The Officer is investigating.

6:52pm: An Officer was called to the 700 block of W. Harrison St. in regards to a family dispute and a possible trespass. The Officer is investigating.

7:06pm: An Officer was called to the 200 block of E. Perry St. in regards to a civil issue. The Officer spoke to those involved and gave advice.

10:54pm: An Officer was called to the 700 block of W. Harrison St. in regards to a family dispute and a possible trespass. The Officer is investigating.
