Here’s Where Providence Ranks as a “Foodie City” in U.S.

A new ranking of “top foodie cities” in the United States has been released, looking at 29 key indicators of “foodie-friendliness.”
“Our data set ranges from cost of groceries to affordability and accessibility of high-quality restaurants to food festivals per capita,” writes WalletHub of its latest ranking.
So where does Providence fall?

In the sub-rankings, Rhode Island’s capital city scores better for “diversity, accessibility, and quality” at #49 — but worse for “affordability” at #106.
Boston comes in ahead of PVD at #47 — but overall in New England, Portland. Maine is tops at #17.
Portland, Oregon is tops in the U.S., followed by Orlando and Miami in Florida.
