Roman Laurio had a breakout junior year last season which caught the eye of college football recruiter and a year later, the standout Saline receiver has made his decision on where he’ll continue playing at the next level.
The 2-star wideout committed to Princeton on Sunday evening, making the announcement on his Twitter account. He was offered by Princeton in April and took an official visit in June.
“I am excited to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Princeton University,” Laurio said. “Thank you to all my coaches, teammates, and family who have supported me through this process! Go Tigers.”
Laurio caught 54 passes for 953 yards and seven touchdowns last year and he hasn’t missed a beat this season.
He’s been a consistent target for Saline QB CJ Carr as the two connected for two touchdowns in Friday’s victory over Ann Arbor Pioneer.
The 6-foot, 175-pound athlete is ranked as the No. 6 receiver in the state and the No. 60 player overall in Michigan by 247Sports.
He chose Princeton over offers from Bowling Green, Illinois State and Army.
