Vanilla Ice shared one of the subjects Coolio discussed before his terrible demise.
On September 28, the 59-year-old rapper who made his name with "Gangsta's Paradise" passed away.
As of this writing, Coolio's cause of death remains unclear.
At his buddy and longtime manager Jarez Posey's Los Angeles home, the rapper unexpectedly passed dead.
In the meantime, his close buddy Vanilla Ice, with whom he performed only days before passing away, broke down as he recalled the last time they had a heart-to-heart about Coolio being a dad.
The "Ice Ice Baby" singer reportedly tried to remain composed when discussing his final conversation with his friend, per TMZ.
Talking about "family" was a frequent subject of conversation between Coolio and Vanilla Ice, and Vanilla Ice claimed that Coolio had his kids on his mind the last time they got together.
The Pennsylvania native, whose true name is Artis Leon Ivey Jr., was a constant buddy, according to the source who spoke with him further.
After learning of his friend's passing, Vanilla Ice announced he would also be skipping the weekend of shows since he doesn't feel like putting on a performance right now.
A week before he passed away, Coolio performed with Vanilla Ice for the last time. During his act, they freestyled.
Vanilla Ice confessed he didn't know that Coolio's performance last week would be his last.

Who Are Coolio's Kids?
At the time of his death, Coolio had eleven children. They all have various baby mothers.
He didn't have many regrets, according to The Things, and he enjoyed his trip, especially getting to watch his kids grow up.
The "C U When You Get There" rapper said in an interview, despite battling drug addiction and several run-ins with the law previously, "But when I really look back on my life, being really honest about it and now that I've got the chance to travel the world, seeing how a lot of little kids grow up - my life wasn't so bad."
Together with his ex-wife Josefa Salinas, Coolio had four kids. Four years after getting married in 1996, they divorced.
Artisha, Brandi, Jackie, and Artis are their shared children.
He also has six additional children, according to RSVP Live: Grtis, Milan, Darius, Zhane, Kate, and Shayne Ivey.
Although he didn't frequently address his children in public, he did so in his reality series "Coolio's Rules."
