1. Emmerdale: Aaron's dramatic homecoming

(Monday at 7.30pm on ITV)

Drained Liv is grateful for Paddy's support when he persuades her to take a day off work this week. However, her restful day is ruined when she returns to Mill Cottage and finds a menacing Terry waiting for her.

The thug demands Liv retract her police statement, but as brave Liv attempts to fight back, events take a devastating turn. In a moment of anger, Terry pushes Liv over and she hits her head on the table, falling unconscious.

Confronted by Liv's lifeless body, Terry makes a bolt for it, only to run into Aaron, who has made an unexpected return to the village. Defending his little sister, Aaron starts attacking Terry before Harriet interrupts their brawl.

As the paramedics arrive on the scene to attend to an unresponsive Liv, Aaron finds himself under arrest.

Vinny is beside himself with worry as he hears news of Liv's condition, while Chas rages at Harriet when she refuses to release Aaron. Eventually, Aaron is free to go, but as he and Chas arrive at the hospital to see Liv, Vinny turns Aaron away, insisting his wife wants nothing to do with him.

Aaron's gutted and left questioning whether he made a huge mistake in coming back. But will Liv pull through so her brother has the chance to make amends?

2. Coronation Street: Alya goes behind Stu's back

(Tuesday at 8pm on ITV)

Stu is a bundle of nerves as he prepares to meet his granddaughter Eliza this week. Their reunion is a happy one, but the mood turns when Lucy arrives at Speed Daal, demanding Bridget and Eliza leave the restaurant immediately. Heartbroken Stu watches his family walk away.

Over at Number 3, Dee-Dee informs Alya there was no trace of the veteran's DNA on Charlie's bag, but getting the evidence re-tested will be a very costly process.

Spotting Stu's relatives leaving Speed Daal, Alya confronts Lucy and accuses her of hiding vital evidence linked to Stu's case. Convinced Lucy knows more than she's letting on, Alya insists they should pursue the DNA test, but Stu tells her and Yasmeen he wants to leave the whole thing in the past.

Initially Alya respects Stu's wishes, but when Dee-Dee reveals she has secured funding for the test, she gives her the go ahead.

Later, Eliza turns up at Speed Daal, closely followed by Lucy and Bridget, so Alya seizes the opportunity and invites the trio to stay for tea.

After swiping a mug that Lucy drank from earlier, Alya takes it to Dee-Dee, insisting they run a DNA test on it to ascertain whether she's Charlie's real killer.

3. EastEnders: Mayhem for the Mitchells

(Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One)

With Billy's court hearing looming, Phil is rattled even further when Keeble threatens to go after the rest of his family unless Jimmie is dropped from defending his cousin.

Using the situation to her advantage, Shirley blackmails Sam for more hush money, and when she calls her bluff, she storms off to find Phil. The pair wind up in an ugly encounter with Jonah, and Shirley stuns Phil by revealing Sam has been scamming him for months.

Caught out, Sam desperately tries to defend herself, but it's no use as scorned Phil kicks her out of the house.

Later at The Vic, Ritchie tells Billy that Jimmie can no longer represent him, and suspicious Shirley clocks a subtle exchange between Phil and his brief. As Phil receives a text from Keeble summoning him to meet, Shirley secretly tails him and is delighted to finally have some dirt to use against him.

Meanwhile, Sam's week goes from bad to worse when Jonah demands the remainder of his money, then returns to Peggy's with two heavies in tow. The thugs find Lola in the office, and mistaking her for Sam, they force her into opening the safe.

After a struggle, Lola is able to break away and runs into the club, where everyone is gathered to celebrate Jay's birthday. But Jonah and his cronies chase her into the party, intent on getting what they came for.

4. Hollyoaks: Vicky's in danger from Joseph

(Tuesday at 7pm on E4 and Wednesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

DeMarcus has spent the last few weeks locked up at young offenders, framed for a murder he didn't commit. But there's a glimmer of hope for the incarcerated lad when an anonymous witness from the night of Saul's fatal stabbing comes forward.

Meanwhile, Felix is on a mission to expose the true killer, Joseph. Posing as a buyer, Felix arranges to meet with Joseph's mum Gill to gather evidence. But will he be able to keep up the ruse?

Later, Joseph lets his mask slip in front of his girlfriend Vicky, leading her to decide enough is enough. Determined to get justice for DeMarcus, Vicky frantically searches for her phone containing the recording of Joseph admitting to murder, only to find it's in his hands.

In desperation, Vicky hatches a risky plan to trap her evil boyfriend in his own lies, but ends up putting herself in grave danger.

5. Emmerdale: Mack's secret lover is revealed

(Wednesday at 7.30pm on ITV)

While enjoying a few beers together, Mack is horrified when drunken Nate exposes his recent infidelity to Charity's son Ryan.

Knowing something's up, Ryan orders his housemates to tell him the truth, forcing Mack to admit he cheated on Charity. Ryan is disgusted by Mack's betrayal and insists he needs to come clean to Charity.

The following day, Mack is in turmoil wondering how to tell Charity, and threatens to fight back against any accusations of cheating, leaving Ryan beaten.

As the week continues, Mack fears his dirty secret won't be safe for long as he watches Ryan struggling to keep quiet. And just to make matters worse, he then receives a call from his one-night stand.

After arranging a rendezvous, the pair meet on the outskirts of the village, where the identity of Mack's mystery lover is finally revealed.

6. Coronation Street: Aaron attacks Paul

(Wednesday at 8pm on ITV)

Aaron reveals to Summer he confiscated his dad's wallet to stop him buying alcohol and found a bag of cannabis stashed inside. The young couple decide to whip up a batch of weed brownies, and by the time Billy and Todd arrive home, the teens are completely off their faces.

With the bishop due any minute, Billy orders Summer and Aaron to hide in the bedroom, but events take a potentially disastrous turn when Todd catches the bishop eyeing up one of the brownies.

Later, angry Billy lectures Aaron on the dangers of drugs, leading Summer to snap back saying she's sick of being told what to do.

The drama continues later in the week when Aaron's drunk dad rocks up at the garage and threatens his son over his stolen cash and weed. Kevin sends him packing. As Aaron returns home, he's confronted by his father, who attacks him.

Elsewhere, Paul is concerned to hear about Aaron's thieving and calls in to see him at the flower shop flat, accusing him of leading Summer astray. As tensions rise, Paul grabs Aaron's bruised arm and the lad punches him in retaliation, leaving Summer shocked by his violent outburst.

Paul declares he's going to report the assault, but when Aaron confides in Billy about the abuse he suffers at the hands of his dad, he has a change of heart.

7. EastEnders: Vinny reunites with Nish

(Wednesday at 7.30pm on BBC One)

Ravi is buoyed by his prison meeting with Nish, but Nina mocks his hopefulness at a reconciliation with his father and acceptance into the Panesar family. Later, as the secret lovers pay Nish a visit, the atmosphere turns sour when Nish asks to see Kheerat and Vinny, leaving Ravi feeling rejected.

Following his father's orders, Ravi manipulates Vinny into going to see Nish, but he's overwhelmed to find Ravi has already been put on the prison visitor list. Will he realise Ravi's connection to his family?

Clearly agitated, Vinny questions Suki about their relationship with their father in an attempt to get answers from her. Following their conversation, Vinny heads to the prison and is surprised by Nish's affection towards him.

Intrigued to know why he was asked to come and see him, Vinny starts probing for information, which leads to him making a big decision.

8. Hollyoaks: Norma has a proposal for Warren

(Wednesday at 7pm on E4 and Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

Still reeling from receiving an urn with her name on it, Sienna recruits Ethan to help her take down Norma once and for all. The pair disguise themselves and prepare to break into their nemesis's hospital room, but discover to their horror it's not that easy to outsmart The Undertaker.

As events take a chilling turn, Sienna finds herself in serious danger and Ethan faces a race against the clock to find her in time.

Elsewhere, Norma decides to see what Warren is really made of and makes her son a shock proposition. But will he agree to the plan when he realises just what's at stake?

9. Home and Away: Marilyn's suspicions about Heather mount

(Wednesday at 1.45pm on Channel 5)

Mysterious newcomer Heather is making herself at home in Summer Bay, and after catching Nikau's eye, the pair end up in bed together.

The next morning, Tane is shocked to find his nephew has brought a girl back to their place, but Nikau insists he's moving on from Bella and tells him to back off.

Meanwhile, Marilyn is growing increasingly wary about Heather's presence and is horrified when Roo offers her a place to stay at the caravan park. Turning to her tarot cards, Marilyn discovers an omen and warns Roo, who promptly dismisses her concern.

Irene and Alf are equally baffled by Marilyn's issue with Heather and agree she's just a nice lass down on her luck.

Looking for an explanation behind Marilyn's out of character behaviour, Roo questions if her friend has stopped taking her medication. But as Alf steps in, the women agree they'll have to disagree when it comes to Heather.
