Reichman's Big Day Sends Men's Soccer Past LaGrange

LaGrange, GA: On Sunday, October 2nd, the University of the South Men's Soccer team took on LaGrange in their final non conference match of the season. After being down 1-0 at haftime, the Tigers used two Trevor Reichman goals to top the Panthers 2-1.

INSIDE THE MATCH UP:
Sewanee (9-1-0) 2, LaGrange (6-4-1) 1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- A slow start for both teams left most of the first half scoreless. 
- LaGrange got on the board first, when Zechariah Brothers put a rebound in past Sewanee goalkeeper JP Furman.
- That LaGrange 1-0 lead was only the second time all season Sewanee has trailed.
- Sewanee took five shots in the first half, but could not find the back of the net. 
- Two minutes into the second half, Trevor Reichman fired a shot into the net off of a rebound to tie the game. 
- Six minutes later, Reichman socred again, this time off of a feed from Tyler Cozzie to make it 2-1.

KEY SEWANEE STATISTICS:
- JP Furman recorded three saves.
- Sewanee out shot LaGrange 15-5.

KEY LAGRANGE STATISTICS:
- Zechariah Brothers scored the lone goal.
