BARTON COUNTY—A Missouri teen died in an accident just before 2a.m. Sunday in Barton County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Chevy Impala driven by Benjamin L. Harrington, 18, Lamar, was eastbound on Route V ten miles northwest of Lamar.
The car traveled off the left side of the road, struck a bluff and overturned.
Harrington was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Daniels Funeral Home. Air-Evan transported a 16-year-old girl from Lamar to Mercy Springfield. A private vehicle transported a 16-year-old boy from Lamar for treatment of a minor injuries. Harrington and the 16-year-old girl were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.
