(Greenfield, MA) On Friday, Mayor Roxann Wedegarter along with officials from Greenfield Savings Bank, The Conway School, and City department heads gathered for a ribbon cutting at the new Pride Crosswalk on Miles Street in Greenfield and the new pocket park on Fiske Avenue.

The Pride Crosswalk was installed this July with paint supplied by Greenfield Savings Bank. The idea for the crosswalk came from Kim Zabek, Greenfield Savings Bank officer and South Deerfield Branch Manager. The Fiske Avenue Pocket Park was designed by The Conway School in 2012 as a public green space. The project was funded by a $200,00 MassDOT grant from their Shared Streets and Spaces program. The park includes a pollinator garden, chess table, benches, and a bike repair station.
