Two survivors were reported after an emergency plane landing in Lake Mead, authorities said.

On Saturday, at about 8:30 p.m., the Federal Aviation Administration received reports of a small plane that made an emergency landing in the water near Boulder City.

According to authorities, the plane departed from the Grand Canyon Airport and was on its way to the North Las Vegas Airport.

After officials rescued the passengers, they reported no injuries.

Lt. Col. Mark Young with Civil Air Patrol, the USAF Auxiliary said they did not expect any survivors. He said the passengers were extremely lucky.

Several agencies, including the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the Nevada Department for Emergency Management, the Clark County Sheriff's Office, the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, the National Park Service, the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, and the Federal Aviation Administration, all helped during this rescue.

The investigation is ongoing.
