KOCO 5 was told the tournament is a part of a bigger plan to remember Nelson’s life. In total, 22 teams participated.During the championship game, University of Oklahoma head coach Patty Gasso threw the first pitch and the Oklahoma State mascot Pistol Pete made his way throughout the stands to take pictures with fans.
