Would Kaye had got more public votes or be saved by the judges if she was male, younger or English?

The answer is yes!

Tonight's result was a disgrace. Shame on the public and judges.

    This thread is quite bizarre.

The Scottish vote has been quite prevalent on other shows, sometimes age can work in a contestant’s favour (saw a lot about how well she did with the tricks given she’s nearly 60) and other than maybe Will and Hamza, I think the women are slightly more popular this year.

Kaye was just unfortunate that she messed up the dance off a bit more than Matt. I’d have still saved her over Matt but I don’t think anyone had an agenda against her.

I'm quite fond of Kaye and have no real opinion on Matt.

But tonight's result wasn't a shock. To be honest they were both terrible in the dance off.

The rest of the UK actively vote against any Scottish contestant, I am surprised you have only just realised this, it's been going on for about 400 years.

Some facts, Kaye is not the best dancer, the judges scored her reasonably fairly and the public votes the way it wants to, not based on where a contestant is from, the age of the contestant or the sex of the contestant.

    Grow up.

She was pretty rubbish and made more obvious errors in the dance off, so was correctly sent home!

In answer to the thread title - who knows?

She would, however, almost certainly have got more public votes or been saved by the judges if she'd danced better.

Perhaps we should set up a "predetermined reasons why X went home"thread so we can feed in the explanations each week. I mean there's all sorts to go on......frock colour, cut of trousers, hairdo, guyliner....

His trousers might not have been so very, very in your face, so maybe yes?

She was rubbish, so was Matt but it was a toss of the coin thing in the DO. She wasn't robbed.

I’m female and Scottish and she was my pick for the bottom two along with Matt. Neither seemed to enjoy it and both can go without losing anything, so didn’t really matter if she went this week or next week to me.

OK, so basically, you're asking that if she was a totally different person, would she have got different votes....yes possibly...

And if she could actually dance she would have got a shed load more...

I am not buying the thread title but I do have to say - you mean like Dan Walker :D (also she was bad on Sat night but Matt and Tony were the worst imho)

She messed up in the dance off.

umm not that much i thought, and her dance was more recognizable as charleston, than Matt's mess was as a samba, as a samba that was one of the worst samba's i've ever seen, Nadiya to get benched again next year too pls

Yes, but that's always the way on Strictly. With very few exceptions, the older celebs go first. Tony Adams, Matt Goss, Kym Marsh, Helen Skelton will all be gone before or by Musicals Week. I'm not saying it's right, but we (the public) are the ones to blame.
