COLIN COOK IS RANKED AS THE NUMBER ONE AMERICAN IN HIS AGE GROUP IN THIS IRONMAN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP RACE. THE RACE CONSISTS OF A 2.4 MILE SWIM, A 112 MILE BIKE AND A MARATHON. A New Hampshire man is on his way to Hawaii to compete with some of the best athletes in the country.Colin Cook is ranked as the number one American in his age group in this year's Ironman World Championship. The race consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and a marathon.This is Cook’s seventh world championship and 19th Ironman.Cook's accomplished a lot over the years, but he said overcoming a drug and alcohol addiction through fitness is what he's most proud of.“I finished the 2009 Boston Marathon. That was my first endurance endeavor. Then did a Half Ironman later that year,” Cook said. “Just got hooked on the purpose and dedication it gave to my life and it was life-changing for me for sure.”Along with owning a triathlon coaching business, Cook is also the owner of Peak Recover and Health Center in Manchester.
