You’re supposed to read the following sentence in the voice that Missy Elliott used for drops back in the day. New DRAM! Yes, you read that correctly. The talented singer, songwriter, producer and storyteller out of Virginia has set the release date for his third studio album. To the excitement of many, DRAM will release a new project called What Had Happened Was on October 27, 2022.
“So proud of you,” Zyah Belle wrote in a comment.
“We’ve been waiting. Keep going,” a fan wrote while adding in a “DRAM Back” hashtag.
Not to be forgotten, “Yes! Scorpio season. It’s giving Pluto vibe.” However, they replaced the “e” in Yes with multiple a’s and s’s, but you get the picture. Simply put, everyone’s happy to see DRAM return with some more soulful, addictive tracks.
To get the ball rolling, DRAM has set the stage by dropping a new track called “Let Me See Your Phone.” In a way that only he can, the Hampton native paints an all too relatable picture of a relationship falling apart at the seams. Ultimately, he’s left asking the only logical question. Can I see your phone?
“When I look into your eyes, they don’t shine as bright as they used to. When I look into your eyes and you look back at mine, they look see-through. I can’t believe you,” he sings.
“Let me see your phone. Type in your passcode so that I can see inside of your soul. I’m scrolling down to find out where it might be.”
Pull out your phone! It’s not so that your significant other can see it. I’m asking you to pull out your phone, so that you can hook it up to the Bluetooth speaker in your apartment and play the song below at ignorant levels before DRAM’s album drops on October 27.
