UC Football Climbs Back into Top 25 AP Poll

The Bearcats showed enough to be the only ranked AAC team.

CINCINNATI — UC fell out of the AP and Coaches poll following their Week 1 loss to Arkansas, but they are back in the mix after a 31-21 win over Tulsa

UC is now ranked 24th in the AP Poll and is the only AAC team ranked in either major poll. They are ranked 26th in the Coaches Poll.

The Bearcats look like the clear best team in the conference, pacing everyone at No. 13 in SP+ rating. SMU is the next closest AAC team (No. 38), followed by UCF (No. 41) and Tulane (No. 53).

UC still has to play all three of these teams, including a tough back-to-back road test against the first two at the end of October.

Cincinnati now returns for the homecoming battle against South Florida this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
