The Buccaneers should have all of their offensive pieces back versus the Chiefs. There should be no excuses for offensive woes now.

The Buccaneers getting all of their offensive playmakers back is a good news-bad news situation for the coaching staff.

This might sound silly to some. Of course having all of the starters back is a good thing, but what will the coaching staff say if the offense fails to score more than one touchdown again? What can they blame then beyond themselves?

The lack of offensive success this season has been partially on the rampant injuries, but there is still blame to place on Todd Bowles and Byron Leftwich.

In the same way that Bruce Arians still had influences on Byron Leftwich’s offenses when he was the head coach, Bowles has a say on this offense. Leftwich has never been perfect in regards to run schemes, but one has to think that it has been at an all-time bad due to Bowles’ desire to be a run and defense team. The past few years of offensive dominance show Leftwich isn’t the issue.

The defense looks excellent, but the offense that was dominating in past years is nowhere to be found.

Leftwich and Bowles are both great coaches. Leftwich should already be a head coach in the league and Bowles had to wait too long to get his second chance in the role, but they are actively working against their own team on the offensive end of the field through the first few weeks of the season.

The injuries build in a mulligan, but what excuses are there now?

Tampa’s offense needs to come out and dominate if Tampa’s coaches want to get out from under the microscope, and the play-calling (with the same players from Week 1) has to be way better if the team wants to win.
