Jadeveon Clowney inactive for Browns at Falcons; Myles Garrett could miss weeks per report

CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – As expected, Browns defensive end Jadeveon Clowney is inactive for Sunday’s game at Atlanta and Myles Garrett could be sidelined a few weeks according to ESPN.

Clowney hasn’t practiced or played since spraining his ankle in the third quarter of a 31-30 loss to the Jets on September 18 leaving the Browns minus three of their four starting defensive linemen.

Garrett suffered a sprained left shoulder and right biceps strain as the result of a car accident that occurred Monday in Medina County.

Garrett did not travel with the team to Atlanta after he was downgraded from questionable to out on Saturday.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Garett could be sidelined 2-4 weeks due to the injuries suffered in crash that saw Garrett cited for failure to control his vehicle by the Ohio State Highway Patrol who noted that speed was a factor.

The rest of Cleveland’s inactives: quarterback Kellen Mond, receiver Michael Woods II, tackles Joe Haeg and Chris Hubbard as well as defensive tackle Taven Bryan.

Lineup changes: Tommy Togiai starts at defensive tackle for Bryan while Alex Wright and Isaac Rochell start at defensive end for Garett and Clowney.
