Arizona State did all they could to slow down USC quarterback Caleb Williams, even resorting to firing a water bottle at the superstar signal caller.

Check out one of the funniest videos you’ll see from the 2022 season thus far, as a Sun Devils athlete tries to cool down Williams right before halftime.

While the Sun Devils kept things close in the first half, USC began to pull away following halftime. By a score of 42-25, Williams and company were able to remain undefeated on the season.

It was another great performance for the Trojans quarterback, completing 27 of his 37 pass attempts, amassing 348 passing yards and three touchdowns in the process. Additionally, the former Oklahoma quarterback rushed for 44 yards and a touchdown on eight carries, as well.

Moreover, running back Travis Dye was vital for USC once again on Saturday, as he carried the football 13 times for 62 yards and two touchdowns. He added two receptions for 11 yards to his stat line as well, proving to be an important piece of the Trojans offense.

Meanwhile, former Florida quarterback turned Arizona State starter Emory Jones couldn’t pull off the massive upset of the Trojans, but he tried his mightiest. Jones completed 23 of his 32 pass attempts, accumulating 243 yards and a touchdown and interception each in the process.

Next, USC has some huge showdowns coming up, welcoming Washington State to Southern California next weekend while preparing for a gigantic showdown with Utah the following week. If the Trojans can find victories in both of those games, the College Football Playoff could be within reach.

Nevertheless, Caleb Williams hasn’t been slowed down by anyone in 2022, so Arizona State shouldn’t feel bad — even if their unconventional methods didn’t pan out.
