It appears Shaquille Leonard is making his season debut.

On Sunday morning, the Indianapolis Colts All-Pro linebacker posted on Instagram: "Bout time to punch that clock".

Leonard, who had back surgery during the summer, had practiced each of the first three weeks of the season, but didn't make it to the field. His animated sideline demeanor during the Colts' Week 3 home opener made some fans wonder why he couldn't play. He addressed that issue earlier this week.

“I’m going to say this, because I’ve seen it all on social media: If I’m ready to go, I’m going to play,” Leonard said this week. “Everybody knows me. I went out there last year with one ankle. I love this game, I love this game with all my heart and I’d do anything to play this game for 100 years. There’s no such thing as me standing on the sideline because of me.”

Leonard is in his fifth season. He played through what he thought were ankle issues for much of last season, but further examination revealed a back issue was the root of the problem. He had back surgery in June.
