Once Upon a Time's Lana Parrilla has joined the cast of Atlas, a Netflix drama about an intelligence analyst who must fight for survival on an alien planet whilst wearing a mech suit.
Deadline reports that the actress, who played Evil Queen Regina Mills in the Disney princess-themed show, has joined Jennifer Lopez, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' Simu Liu, This Is Us' Sterling K Brown, and Andor's Abraham Popoola.
Brad Peyton, who has directed Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in San Andreas, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, and Rampage, is getting into the directing chair for this one.

As well as filming Atlas and the action rom-com Shotgun Wedding, 2022 has seen Lopez get married after rekindling her romance with Ben Affleck, who she was originally engaged to back in the 2000s.
Speaking about their Las Vegas nuptials, Lopez (Jennifer Lynn Affleck, technically) wrote: "With the best witnesses you could ever imagine, a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben's closet, we read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we'll wear for the rest of our lives."
Meanwhile Liu, who appeared in a few things before his Marvel debut sent his fame skyrocketing, admitted recently to exaggerating his fighting abilities to land the job.

"When I got the part, they asked me about my martial arts background and experience, which of course I exaggerated because I wanted the job really badly," he said. "I had done some work as an on-again, off-again stuntman, but if we're honest, I think I was more of a dancer than I ever was a martial artist.
"Pretty much from the moment I was cast, I started working with trainers and learning how to move. I had such awful flexibility... A big part of that early process was just bending my body and trying to rip those legs apart."
Atlas is yet to receive a release date on Netflix.
