SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Remembered as a lady who fought for what’s right.

“Chatham County will probably never know another politician and true public servant like Lori. She put her heart and soul in it.”

Known for her service to Chatham County, Lori Brady served as District six representative for the Savannah Chatham County board of education for 16 years.

After being a voice for students in district 6, she served one term as Chatham county commissioner for the same district.

Making a mark on her community, Brady died at the young age of 61 and after fighting a long illness.

“I was shocked.”

Serving with her for four years, current county commissioner Dean Kicklighter says Brady always put her community first and was never afraid to speak up for what she believed it was right.

“Lori was a hard worker. She fought her district, fought for our county, fought for her children, first then went on to fight for everybody. She did it with happiness, enthusiasm. She was a character like no other and she’s going to be missed,” Chatham County Commissioner Dean Kicklighter said.

To continue her legacy, family members are asking those who want to remember her to do so by donating to your favorite charity in Lori Brady’s name.
