Firefighters extinguished a second-alarm blaze Saturday afternoon that broke out at a commercial building on Anaheim Street.

Officials say reports of a fire came in at around 3:38 p.m. When fire crews arrived to the area, they witnessed heavy smoke coming from the roof of the commercial building, prompting the second-alarm response, Long Beach Fire Cpt. Jack Crabtree said.

The flames were extinguished at around 4 p.m. No injuries to firefighters or civilians were reported, Crabtree said.

It is not clear what caused the fire.
