Nic Mallon scored two goals, one in each half, to lead 20th-seeded Saddle Brook to a 2-1 victory over 13th-seeded Dumont in the first round of the Bergen County Cup in Dumont.

Gabriel Serafin assisted on both goals and Michael Pappagallo made eight saves for Saddle Brook (2-6-1), which snapped a seven-game winless streak.

Kotaro Konaka scored a first half goal for Dumont (2-7) and Brendan Mescall had eight saves.

Saddle Brook plays fourth-seeded Dwight-Morrow in the second round in the second round on Thursday.

Northern Highlands 4, Ridgefield 3

Max Deppisch scored two goals as 15th-seeded Northern Highlands defeated 18th-seeded Ridgefield in the first round of the Bergen County Cup in Allendale.

Marco Mininni and Yuichi Hincapie each added a goal for Northern Highlands (3-6). Matthew Yates made four saves and Marc Putrino had two.

Northern Highlands will play second-seeded Becton in the second round on Thursday.

Ridgefield falls to 3-5.

Indian Hills 3, Ridgefield Park 1

Rhys Burgess scored two first half goals as 12th-seeded Indian Hills defeated 21st-seeded Ridgefield Park in the first round of the Bergen County Cup in Oakland.

Josh Fishman made five saves for Indian Hills (3-6-1), which led 3-0 at halftime and advances to play to play fifth-seeded Bergen Tech in the second round on Thursday.

Ridgefield Park falls to 2-6-1.
