Mason’s police chief released the identity of a homicide victim and said police have a first-degree murder warrant for a man who is in police custody in connection with another death.
The body of Jason Peirce, 34, of Racine, Ohio, was found Friday evening, Mason Police Chief C. McKinney said.
McKinney said he believes the homicide is connected to a shooting death Friday in Pomeroy, Ohio. On Friday, police arrested Wayne Leib in connection with that death. Police identified the homicide victim in Pomeroy as Dwayne Qualls of Pomeroy.
