Duane Brown continued the “superhero” theme from this morning’s Homecoming parade as he led IUP to a 20-12 win over Slippery Rock at George P. Miller Stadium.

Mak Sexton went 19-for-30 passing with 236 yards and three touchdowns. Brown piled up 140 yards and two touchdowns on 10 receptions, while Hilton Ridley caught five passes for 48 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, Randy Washington and Drew Dinunzio-Biss finished with eight tackles. Naszhir Taylor and Kalen Frazier each added an interception.
After the game, Brown said the team stuck to the basics.
IUP, now 4-0, travels to California (Pa.) next week for the annual Coal Bowl. Kick-off is slated for noon.
