First responders say a collision between two cars sent one of them into a building and left four people injured off of Congress Ave early Saturday morning.
Austin-Travis County EMS said they responded to the two-vehicle collision around 3:25 a.m. at the Bel Air Motel on 3400 South Congress Avenue with Lightsey Road and Woodward Street.
When ATCEMS arrived, one car drove into the motel from the impact of the crash. CBS Austin went to the scene and noticed this pile of debris left behind from the crash.
A total of four people became entrapped in their vehicles and were injured. The driver of one of them was rescued and transported to St David's South with critical, life-threatening injuries.
A second person was rescued and transported to St. David's South with serious injuries.
A third person was removed and transported to St. David's South with non-life-threatening injuries.
The fourth refused EMS transport.
