The New England Patriots will be without one of their top offensive weapons Sunday as wide receiver Jakobi Meyers has officially been ruled out for the Week 4 matchup against the Green Bay Packers with a knee injury.
The Patriots announced Saturday that Meyers had been downgraded to out after ruling him questionable on Friday. The receiver has been dealing with a knee injury that forced him to miss last week’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Meyers has emerged as one of the top threats in the Patriots offense, acting as Mac Jones’ most reliable receiver early this season when on the field (though Jones has already been ruled out for the game with an ankle injury). However, Meyers’ lingering injury has forced him to miss action, which has been a blow to New England’s passing attack.
With Meyers out, receivers like Nelson Agholor, DeVante Parker, Kendrick Bourne and Lil’Jordan Humphrey could see increased action.
