LIMA — Shirley Wolford is celebrating her 90th birthday with a party at the Bath township social hall on Oct. 2.
Wolford was born Oct. 5, 1932 in Lima to James and Laura Gross. On Nov. 8, 1953 she married Robert Wolford who died May 29, 2013.
She has three children, Karen Wolford, of Dayton; Joyce (Earl) Reives, of Troy and Kaye (Gerald) Lindeman of Delphos. She has seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren. A son, James Wolford, and a great-grandchild preceded her in death.
Wolford retired from the Appleseed Ridge Girl Scout Council as a bookkeeper. She is a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lima. Wolford volunteered for 28 years at St. Rita’s Medical Center Auxiliary. She loved traveling over the years to all 50 states, she went on many cruises and a trip to Europe.
