Hurricane Ian now a post-tropical storm, moving away from Georgia

ATLANTA — Hurricane Ian is no longer a tropical storm and it is moving away from the state of Georgia.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan said weather conditions are looking better for north Georgia as the storm passes over.

There is a limited chance for light rain for parts of northeast Georgia this evening.

It will be a breezy first day of October and the weather will gradually dry out.

The first week of October will be dry with more dry days to follow.
