Sedalia Police observed a vehicle traveling north on South Lamine Wednesday night around 10 p.m., leave the left side of the roadway, strike a “no parking” sign, then drive off.

A traffic stop was later conducted at 11th and Massachusetts.

Investigation revealed that the driver, 44-year-old Holly B. Douglas of Sedalia, was intoxicated. Douglas was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where she refused to provide a breath sample.

A search warrant was obtained, and the suspect was then transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center where a blood draw was conducted.

Douglas was then transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was placed on a 24-hour hold. A request for the charges of driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident were requested of the prosecutor.
