STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A new season of “Saturday Night Live” will return on Saturday, Oct. 1, with a slate of new faces, as many cast members announced their departure earlier this year.

“SNL” announced its first hosts for the season premiere on Tuesday — actor Miles Teller and musical guest Kendrick Lamar. The comedy skit show also announced its hosts and entertainment for the following two weeks.

On Oct. 8, Brendan Gleeson will host the show with musical guest Willow. Megan Thee Stallion will be the host and musical guest of “SNL” on Oct. 15.

You can watch the 48th season of “Saturday Night Live” on NBC.

If you’re a cord-cutter or don’t have cable, you can live stream “SNL” on Fubo TV on Peacock, NBC’s streaming service. Both offer free trials.

Staten Islander and Great Kills native Pete Davidson confirmed his departure from “Saturday Night Live” in an emotional Instagram farewell uploaded to a friend’s account in May.

“This video was taken 8 years ago,” Davidson wrote. “Jerrod sent it to me last night and it made me super emotional in the best way. In the video I had just gotten back from doing my very first update and sketch. It’s crazy to think that today I’ll be doing my last one. When I got the show I was 20 years old and I had no idea what I was doing. I still don’t but especially back then.”

He joined the long-running NBC sketch show in 2014 as a featured player at the age of 20, and was one of the youngest cast members to join “SNL” in its history.

Davidson has grown into a household name over the last few years, first for his self-deprecating bits on “Weekend Update,” then for his dopey sketch-character Chad, and eventually for his projects outside of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, including the autobiographical feature-length film “The King of Staten Island,” which was directed by Judd Apatow.

Fellow Staten Islander Colin Jost will remain on “SNL” for the upcoming season.

Other long-serving “SNL” players who also left after last season include Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon and Kyle Mooney. Regulars Alex Moffat and Melissa Villaseñor, and featured player Aristotle Athari also left over the summer, while Chris Redd announced his exit from the show in mid-September.

Four featured players — Marcello Hernandez, Molly Kearney, Michael Longfellow and Devon Walker — have joined the show for the 2022-2023 season.
