The national gas price average continues to go up in the wake of Hurricane Ian, but the state’s gas price average continues to go down.
The national average is now $3.80 a gallon, which is an increase of less than a cent over the last 24 hours, but it is up ten cents from last week and down only two cents from last month at this time. Experts with Triple-A report that gasoline distribution could be limited in areas that were impacted by Hurricane Ian. Total gas stocks went down by 2.4 million barrels to 212.2 million, while gas demand has increased from 8.32 million barrels a day to 8.83 million barrels a day.
Pennsylvania’s average is now $3.77 a gallon. It’s a decrease of less than a cent over the last 24 hours, a four cent drop over the last week and 30 cents down over the last month. Indiana County’s average is now $3.82. Jefferson County remains the lowest in the region at $3.75. Clearfield had the next highest average at $3.81. Indiana County is the next highest, followed by $3.86 in both Cambria and Westmoreland County. Armstrong county’s average is still the region’s highest average with $3.92.
The lowest average was in Philadelphia County at $3.61, while the highest average is in Forest County at $3.98.
Gas prices in Indiana and Blairsville range from $3.79 to $3.81, while prices in Homer City are holding at $3.81, and Clymer’s gas prices are at $3.79.
