MH boys finish 2nd at Camdenton Laker Invitational, girls take 3rd, JV boys win

The Mountain Home High School cross country teams went across the state line Friday to compete in the Camdenton Laker Invitational.

The Bombers finished second on the boys’ side behind Lee’s Summit West, Missouri. Ky Bickford led Mountain Home as he was third with another personal best of 15:45. Hendrix Hughes ended up fifth with an 18-second personal best of 16:11.

The Lady Bombers took third place in the girls’ race. Rolla got the win, and Lee’s Summit West finished second. Erica Krueger was second with a personal best of 19:56 for her first time under 20 minutes.

Mountain Home won the junior varsity boys’ race. Trenton Smith got the individual win in his high school debut in 17:35. Garrett Barr was third overall, also dipping under the 18-minute barrier in his first ever high school race. The winning squad was completed with Ryan Amick in fifth with 18:32, Braden Yates in sixth with 18:47 and Alex Hester in 7th with 18:50.
