EastEnders spoilers follow.

A new month has arrived, so it's time for another EastEnders spoiler round-up, highlighting some of the biggest storylines hitting your screens over the next few weeks.

While love is in the air for some, there's heartbreak for others, and a sinister secret looks set to tear a family apart.

Here are seven of the biggest moments to come:

1. Jay and Lola reunite

This one may come as no real surprise, but October will see Lola and Jay find their way back to each other, after a couple of years apart.

The on-off pair have been growing closer in recent episodes, with Lola even deciding to throw Jay an impromptu party next week.

During the birthday bash, Jay will refer to Lola as the love of his life and the flirtations will continue into the month, paving the way for a long-awaited reunion.

Sadly, there is no long-term happy ending on the cards here, as Lola is reportedly being killed off as part of a heartbreaking new storyline, which will be kicking off later in the autumn,

2. Alfie's secret revealed

Alfie will continue in his quest to try and win ex-wife Kat back this month, but the next rabbit he pulls out of the hat doesn't have the desired effect (much like most of the others!)

Things only get worse when a shocking truth about Alfie's time away from Walford comes to light, potentially throwing any chance of a reconciliation with Kat out of the window anyway.

As Kat reels from a shocking discovery she's made about Alfie, she is soon trying to fix another of his blunders, but what has he done this time?

3. Vinny's dilemma

Upcoming scenes will see Vinny pay his dad a visit in prison, sparking the next big chapter of the Panesars' story.

The visit throws Vinny into a new dilemma that will continue to play out across the month, as Ravi manipulates him into keeping a secret from Suki.

Vinny panics when Nish later turns up in Walford...

4. Nish's arrival in Walford

Following on from the above, yes, we can confirm that Nish – who made his first appearance on screen last week – will be arriving in Walford over the next few weeks.

Nish is Suki's ex-husband and is the dad of Kheerat, Vinny, Ash – and, in a new twist, Ravi too.

EastEnders bosses have cast Navin Chowdhry as show newcomer Nish, who will be bringing an army of secrets when he arrives in the Square.

With the truth about Ravi's paternity a ticking timebomb, added to the fact that Nish clearly has a hidden agenda when it comes to the family, it's fair to say that the Panesars are in for a bumpy ride in October. But how will they react to Nish's reappearance?

5. Suki's big decision

Nish's arrival will intertwine with Suki's ongoing story, as she starts to make a possible breakthrough.

Suki will contemplate telling the truth about what really happened to Ranveer in upcoming scenes, but could be stopped in her tracks before she gets the chance.

Suki also faces further heartbreak when she spots Eve on a date, unaware it has been set up by a meddling Stacey. Will this prompt Suki to finally face up to her feelings?

6. Chelsea and Jack hide a secret

Chelsea will raise eyebrows later this month, as she shares a secret with former flame (and her mum's husband!) Jack Branning.

As Chelsea feels the strain of being independent, she will confide in Jack over the extent of her money problems.

Jack agrees to keep Chelsea's woes to himself, but the secrecy will spark suspicion from Denise – who starts to become unsettled over their connection.

When further evidence comes to light, could Denise actually have a reason to be worried?

7. Amy and Denzel's romance causes a stir

Amy and Denzel will feel the pressure from their friends in future episodes, after deciding to become a proper couple.

It's not long before they talk about stepping things up a gear, but chaos ensues when Jack gets wind of the underage pair's plans…

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
