Palos Township hosts recycling event Saturday
Palos Township and the Cook County Sheriff’s Recycling Program are holding a paper, electronics and drug recycling event on Saturday, October 1, at Township Hall, 10802 S. Roberts Road in Palos Hills.
Township residents only are eligible to bring paper for shredding, electronics for recycling and unwanted or expired drugs for proper disposal from 9 a.m. to noon or the trucks are filled.
Paper will be shredded at another site. Please remove paper clips and rubber bands.
Residents are limited to one television per household. Other items that may be dropped off include cell phones, computers, laptops, printers, hardware, holiday lights, and batteries.
Drugs must be in pill form, so no liquids or needles. The drugs can be in their prescription bottles, which will also be shredded.
