1. West Des Moines Dowling (5-1) beat Johnston 42-19

Penn State commit Jaxon Smolik was 21-of-29 for 235 yards and a score for the Maroons. 

2. Ankeny (5-1) beat No. 19 West Des Moines Valley 34-24

Jazan Williams’s 4-yard TD run with 1:47 left finally allowed Hawks a chance to breathe.

3. Southeast Polk (5-1) beat Linn-Mar 49-27

Abu Sama scored four first-half touchdowns as the Rams led 35-13 at the break.

4. Pleasant Valley (6-0) beat Bettendorf 44-14

Caden McDermott ran for two touchdowns and passed for two for the Spartans.

5. Council Bluffs Lewis Central (7-0) beat Des Moines Hoover 63-14

Titans raced to a 49-0 lead at the intermission to stay perfect.

6. Harlan Community (5-1) beat Atlantic 54-7

Harlan scored on its first play from scrimmage and led 33-0 at the half.

7. Waverly-Shell Rock (6-0) beat Marion 42-7

McCrae Hagerty scored four touchdowns and Asa Newsom had 163 yards of total offense.

8. Cedar Rapids Xavier (6-0) beat Pella 47-0

Saints pitched their third straight shutout, limiting the Little Dutch to 220 total yards.

9. Central Lyon/George-Little Rock (6-0) beat Unity Christian 39-7

Lions have held five of their six opponents to single-digit points.

10. Williamsburg (6-0) beat Mid-Prairie 56-7

Mid-Prairie entered the game 4-1 but was no match for the powerful Raiders.

11. Cedar Rapids Kennedy (5-1) lost to Cedar Falls 23-16

Tigers dominated the first half (23-3) and went on to post the upset win.

12. Ankeny Centennial (4-2) beat No. 17 Urbandale 28-23

Trenton Smith was 18-for-25 for 241 yards and four touchdowns for the victorious Jaguars.

13. Mount Vernon (6-0) beat Davenport Assumption 42-17

Mustangs scored 42 points for the third time in four games.

14. Humboldt (6-0) beat North Polk 24-14

QB Will Orness’ 8-yard TD run with 3:12 remaining finally gave Wildcats a 10-point cushion.

15. Cedar Rapids Prairie (5-1) beat Waterloo West 45-14

Makelle Taylor ran for 180 of Prairie’s 362 yards in the victory.

16. Sioux City East (5-2) lost to Waukee Northwest 17-7

For Northwest, Hunter Smith had two sacks, including a forced fumble, and a blocked punt.

17. Urbandale (4-2) lost to No. 12 Ankeny Centennial 28-23

Peyton Rottinghaus threw three touchdown passes for the J-Hawks, but it wasn’t enough.

18. Indianola (5-1) beat Norwalk 45-33

In a game with six lead changes, Will Shivers’ 13-yard TD catch in the 4th gave Indians the lead for good.

19. West Des Moines Valley (3-3) lost to No. 2 Ankeny 34-24

Gallant effort by the Tigers, who were even at 21-all at the intermission.

20. Spirit Lake (6-0) beat Estherville-Lincoln Central 45-0

Two of sophomore Caden Lundt’s six completions went for touchdowns.

21. Western Dubuque (4-2) beat Decorah 38-22

Grant Glausser ran for touchdowns of 47, 10, 35 and 7 yards in the victory.

22. Iowa City Liberty (5-1) beat Mount Pleasant 68-6

Brayden Bell had a pick-six in the first half as the Lightning led 47-0 at the break.

23. North Scott (4-2) beat Burlington 46-7

Dylan Marti carried six times for 155 yards and four TDs in the victory.

24. Carlisle (5-1) beat Boone 42-0

Wildcats led 28-0 at the intermission and coasted home from there.

25. Dubuque Wahlert (4-2) lost to Waukon 28-6

Noah Hatlan passed for 173 yards and two TDs, and ran for 80 and another score for Waukon.
