Thomas runs wild as Manville football blanks Dunellen, 27-0

Sophomore running back Naquavere Thomas rushed for 145 yards on just three carries and scored a pair of touchdowns as Manville sprinted to a 27-0 win over Dunellen in a Big Central Freedom Silver Division showdown in Dunellen.

Thomas scored on a 58-yard run in the opening quarter for the lone points of the first half.

The Mustangs broke it open in the second half.

Thomas broke a 76-yard TD run in the third quarter, and Shawn Purcell scored on runs of 35 and 5 yards in the fourth quarter to put it away.

The Mustangs improved to 5-1 overall, while Dunellen dropped to 2-3.
