A Curtis Park home just listed for sale is causing quite a stir. The inside of the home was made to model the work of Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí."This is a distinctive property," said realtor Janet Carlson.From the outside, 2510 Coleman Avenue looks like many others on the block, but the inside is a different story. "The first thing you see when you walk into this room is the fireplace,” Carlson added. “I would say it hits you dead center in the eye. I mean this is like a Pixar set or a set for one of the great Lord of the Rings movies. It is fantastical."The home has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and includes a pool, two-story garage and basement. He used caulk, styrofoam, wood and paint to bring the walls to life. Carlson, who’s selling the home knows it well. She lives across the street."We used to have pool parties here during the pandemic,” Carlson said. “We’d just come over and sit out here in chit-chat."Most of the rooms are finished masterpieces. The guest bedroom is the lone exception."The level of detail in here is just mind-boggling," Carlson said.It's unfinished because the neighbor Carlson had known for the last 20 years simply ran out of time."It was devastating, and it was sudden,” Carlson said. “It was totally and completely unexpected."Louis Kraft, 58, died of natural causes. The well-known psychiatrist lived alone. He used the home as a getaway from work."He was very proud of what he was working on and he very much wanted it to be gloried in and delighted in both by his friends and the greater arts community in Sacramento," Carlson said.The home was listed for $825,000, but Carlson isn’t sure what it will sell for.
