PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police have launched a death investigation and are seeking the public’s help in the wake of the discovery of a homeless man’s dead body late Thursday.
PPD says officers were called to the 600 block of NE Adams Street around 4:10 p.m. on a report of a deceased male, lying in an alleyway with what police described as “apparent injuries to the head and face”.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says his office pronounced the victim dead at 4:51 p.m.
Harwood identified the victim as 66-year-old Kenneth Bryant.
According to a release issued late Friday, police are seeking information about Bryant or information about what led to his death.
Bryant is not from the Peoria area and was known to be homeless.
