Investigators said a person of interest connected to a homicide in Pomeroy has been taken into custody.
Wayne Leib, 40, of Pomeroy was apprehended Friday night on Laurel Street, deputies said.
Deputies report they were called to a home on Spring Street about 6:30 p.m. for a possible homicide.
The name of the victim and cause of death have not been released.
Meigs County investigators are also working with the Mason Police Department on a separate homicide investigation. At this time, police have not determined if those cases are related.

Investigators have identified a person of interest connected to a Pomeroy homicide investigation.
Wayne Leib, 40, of Meigs County is being sought by investigators.
Meigs County deputies and Pomeroy police responded to the scene Friday night and are asking the public for help with the investigation.
Anyone with information on Leib may call Meigs County law enforcement agencies. Authorities advise the public to avoid contact with Leib.
Meigs County investigators also are working with the Mason Police Department on a separate homicide investigation. At this time, police have not determined if those cases are related.
