Motorcyclist dead, driver arrested in I-5 crash south of Wilsonville

NEAR WILSONVILLE, Ore. —
A motorcyclist died in a collision with a SUV on Interstate 5 south of Wilsonville early Friday morning, Oregon State Police said.

The crash happened around 12:45 a.m. near milepost 279.
Tyler Bratton, 24, of Santa Rosa, California died in the crash.
Troopers said Bratton was traveling southbound in the northbound fast lane when he collided with the SUV.
A witness told police they saw the motorcyclist traveling northbound and then make a U-turn.
Police said it was not known why Bratton was going in the wrong direction.

The driver of the SUV, 22-year-old Usach Sisach Nelson of Corvallis, was arrested for DUII. OSP said during the investigation it found that he had a blood-alcohol content of .10%.
