U.S. Border Patrol agents caught a U.S. citizen attempting to smuggle fentanyl at the I-8 checkpoint near Yuma

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - According to the U.S. Border Patrol Yuma Sector, agents arrested a U.S. citizen attempting to smuggle fentanyl at the Interstate 8 checkpoint east of Yuma.

The Yuma Sector Canine Unit discovered the individual attempting to smuggle more than $800,000 worth of fentanyl on September 30.
