If you’re looking for a way to give back to the community, here’s your chance.
For the month of October, McCurley dealerships, mustang signs, and Yoke's Fresh Market are joining forces to create the ‘Home Town Food Drive.’
The community is invited to stop by McCurley dealerships in Yakima and Tri-Cities, or your local Yokes to donate non-perishable food items.
Patrons of any Yoke's Fresh Market store can pick-up a $5 or $10 dollar prepacked "Food-Drive-Bag" prior to checking out. The donated bag can be placed at in the donation bin after check-out.
Items will be picked up weekly and distributed to local food banks throughout the Tri-Cities.
"It's been a 20 year tradition now providing food to the local food banks," said Sheldon Cragun with Yokes Fresh Market. "Typically during the month of October, McCurley donates a portion of their vehicle sales and we in turn buy food for the local food banks and delivery that's usually middle of November. "
Organizers say the goal is to raise $40,000 during the month-long drive.
