An Izard County man is facing a felony charge of conduct constituting solicitation of capital murder after authorities allege he sent a message to his brother saying he would pay him $3,000 to kill a woman.

According to court information, the woman mentioned in the scheme saw a Facebook message between Ronald Junior Hill, 28, of Oxford, and Hill’s brother where it appeared Ronald offered his brother $3,000 to kill the woman.

The woman told investigators at the Izard County Sheriff’s Office that she was unsure if Ronald Hill would actually carry through with the crime and that Hill, who was living in the same house with the woman, had “shown severe aggression toward her in the past,” the court information said.

After obtaining a search warrant, authorities were able to obtain and search the phone through which the solicitation was allegedly made.

Hill was brought to the sheriff’s office for a post-Miranda interview where he first denied ever sending the message or ever wanting to harm the victim. However, police say Hill eventually admitted to sending the Facebook message, but explained he was “just frustrated with current living arrangements” and was “adamant that his intentions were not to actually carry out the crime.”

Hill, pictured below, is being held in the Izard County Detention Center without bond.
