EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers are set to ice a veteran lineup on Friday night in a pre-season Battle of Alberta at Rogers Place.
Goaltender Jack Campbell is slated to make his first appearance as an Oiler tonight between the pipes and start the contest in front of Calvin Pickard.
The Oilers will deploy a formidable top nine up front at forward that will be led down the middle by Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl on the top two lines, with Evander Kane and Kailer Yamamoto joining McDavid on the top line and Draisaitl being flanked by Zach Hyman and Jesse Puljujarvi.
Ryan McLeod and Warren Foegele will suit up for their second-straight pre-season games on the third line with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, who'll make his exhibition debut on the left wing.
Darnell Nurse will pair up with regular defence partner Cody Ceci, and both Brett Kulak and Evan Bouchard will make their pre-season debuts on the second pairing.
