MOUNT HOPE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Few have been keeping as busy as the minds behind RetroReset Video Games & Collectibles, and Friday marked yet another milestone for the local venture as the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Crossroads Mall location was held.
Co-owners Shannon Ingram and Clay Williamson were joined by the Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce and Congressional Staffer for United States Senator Joe Manchin – Ben Spurlock, along with patrons, gamers, and collectors who made their way to the Crossroads Mall for the event.
Growth was noticeable within the shop even in the short time which has passed since the location’s soft opening event earlier in the month.
This was evident in areas near the rear of the store, the walls of which while previously unadorned now boast a wealth of nostalgic merchandise into which customers may delve.
Speaking with LOOTPRESS, Williamson indicated that, while the area at the very back of the store had initially been earmarked for storage, the rapidly expanding enterprise would likely see the area adopted as additional space for the store itself.
The former FYE location had clearly prepared for company, as fresh coffee and a slew of actively playable throwback gaming systems awaited those who stopped by.
Table spaces were also set for action, with Magic the Gathering cards, Battleship, and even Mario Chess having been among the assorted preparations having been made for those who chose to partake.
Additionally, a sizable Hot Wheels brand Mario Kart themed racetrack playset erected near the back of the store was, in all likelihood, fascinating enough by virtue of sheer novelty so as to compel many passersby to drop what they were doing entirely and take to inspecting the vivid curiosity.
“This is a very big deal, and I think you’re going to have incredible success in this location,” declared Spurlock just prior to the traditional cutting of the ceremonial ribbon.
“We all know the secret to success for any business is having high quality services and products with employees who provide excellent customer service, and the Mountain State is a prime location to meet those needs,” Spurlock continued, delivering the address prepared by Senator Manchin in anticipation of the event.
“Small businesses like RetreReset are the backbone of our communities, and RetroReset’s newest location has a comprehensive selection of collectibles, comic books, video games, toys and more. Today’s grand opening is particularly exciting because, not only does it showcase the growth of this beautiful region, but also that local residents need to look no further than right here in West Virginia for endless entertainment opportunities.”
The good folks at RetroReset have a full day ahead of them following the ribbon cutting at their new Crossroads Mall location at the time of writing, so stop by to check out some classic games and score some great deals.
