In prep volleyball last night, Eastmont gave West Valley a run for its money, falling in the end 25-18, 13, 27-25, and 25-21. Wenatchee swept three games from Moses Lake. And Ephrata remained unbeaten with a 25-14, 15, 16 decision over Grandview.
There were a couple close matches in the CTL last night as Cascade edged Quincy 3-2 and Omak topped Cashmere 3-2. In B-league play, Manson beat Brewster 3-1 while Okanogan, Entiat, Waterville-Mansfield and Lake Roosevelt were winners in straight games.
On the volleyball schedule tomorrow, Waterville-Mansfield hosts Easton at 11. East Valley visits Cascade at 11:30 while Entiat’s in Soap Lake. Oroville has a Noon match at Curlew. Liberty Bell hosts Bridgeport at 12:30. Manson travels to Tonasket at 6:30.
Eastmont and Moses Lake came out of the pool winners yesterday in Yakima. The Wildcats topped West Valley 123-39 and Sunnyside 138-16. The Mavericks beat Eisenhower 131-48 and Davis 133-40.
Big-9 swimmers and divers will gather at Wenatchee’s pool for a big meet today at Noon.
Local teams will compete tomorrow at some sizeable cross country meets. Eastmont’s at the Sunfair Invite at 9am while Wenatchee is at the Curtis Invitational. Ephrata joins the Battle for the 509 in Cheney at 10am.
