At Paris’s Caviar Kaspia, Hailey Bieber Fetes Her Collaboration With Wardrobe.NYC
On Wednesday night in Paris, Hailey Bieber hosted a dinner to celebrate her collaboration with Wardrobe.NYC, which debuted earlier this month with a second drop arriving this week. (Many of the guests in attendance could be spotted in the just-launched looks.) Cofounders Christine Centenera and Josh Goot joined Bieber to curate a dazzling dinner party filled with laughter, looks, and plenty of vodka.
Inside the elegant, wood-paneled walls of Caviar Kaspia (where else?), a glittering crowd of models, editors, designers, and muses mingled. The well-dressed attendees embraced the chilly weather outside. Elsa Hosk, Joan Smalls, and Precious Lee layered with autumnal blazers. Feline beauties Jordan Barrett and Bella Hadid wore dark leather ensembles. The woman of the hour, Bieber, shimmered in a nude mini dress, a star in her collection.
The capsule features a tight edit of tailoring, activewear, dresses, and knits. Like the rest of Wardrobe.NYC, the pieces combine elegance with ease. In a week filled with fantasy—dreams of Catherine de Medici at Dior, Martha Graham at Saint Laurent, Ancient Egypt at Rick Owens, Cher at Balmain—the monochrome, New York aesthetic was refreshing. Perfectly made and neutral in design, the clothes are as suited for a downtown dinner as a stop at the bodega.
Before supper, guests sipped martinis as Mona Matsuoka turned tracks. At last, they found their place cards and settled in for a feast. Next to the typical stemware, a shot glass sat at every place setting. Decanters of Belvedere crowded the table. A baked potato with lobs of caviar served as the main course. The conversations sizzled as fashion show schedules were swapped and off-the-record opinions shared.
Despite the ready-to-wear marathon, which began in New York over three weeks ago, a manic energy infused the celebration. As diners laughed and swapped seats, photographer Tyrell Hampton moved about the tables, snapping the beautiful revelers.
