CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) —
With the remnants of Hurricane Ian expected, the National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for some counties in West Virginia, including Kanawha.

The flood watch will be in effect from 11 p.m. Friday through Saturday afternoon for Kanawha, Lincoln, Mingo, Logan, Boone, McDowell, Wyoming, northwest and southeast Raleigh and northwest and southeast Fayette.
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible, the weather service said.
The weather service said excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
