Star Jones made her return to The View today to promote her gig as Divorce Court’s newest judge and she couldn’t help but clash a bit with the ladies during a political conversation.

The difference of opinion came during a conversation about Ginni Thomas, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’ wife, who testified that she still has concerns that the 2020 election was stolen and claimed that she and her husband never discussed “2020 election fraud matters.”

All the ladies at the table found Ginni’s statements to be full of it, with Ana Navarro calling her “cray-cray” and Sunny Hostin blasting her as a “filthy liar.”

Joy Behar, who couldn’t believe the couple doesn’t talk politics at home, quipped, “What do they talk about? Dancing with the Stars?” before asking, “Is she a liar or is she in the cult?”

Even Alyssa Farah Griffin, who is the only Republican at the table, called BS.

“She’s technically entitled to her own activism. She’s even entitled to believe things like that the election was stolen even though that’s demonstrably untrue,” Griffin said. “But this is a woman who was at the Ellipse on Jan. 6. Like even when they get home for dinner that day you’d think Justice Thomas would be like, ‘So what did you today?'”

However, Jones, who came out later on in the episode, posed a different perspective. The lawyer was one of the original hosts of The View before she left in 2006, sparking an infamous feud with Barbara Walters. Behar introduced her as “kicking butt, taking names, and laying down the law” on Divorce Court “kind of like what she did here for nine seasons.”

Jones claims that Ginni knew that having the conversation about voter fraud would “compromise” her husband, adding, “If you are calculating, you are going to say, ‘I’m never going to put myself in that position to be asked that question.’ So it’s either she’s lying about not having the conversation, or she was calculating and strategic.”

When the ladies asked what Jones thought, she said, “I actually think she’s very smart. I disagree with everything she says but I think she’s a smart lady.”

Hostin, who was shocked at the statement, noted that Ginni’s belief that the election was stolen is “where the crazy overcomes any smarts she had.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
