Craig Conover Shares Behind-the-Scenes Info from His Tense Southern Charm Finale Party
The Southern Charm cast member spilled the tea on what went down at his holiday party that you didn’t see.
Christmas came to Charleston in the Southern Charm Season 8 finale, but some cast members weren’t exactly full of holiday cheer. You’d never know that though, based on Craig Conover’s Instagram photos from his dramatic Sewing Down South Winter Wonderland gala.
Ahead of the September 29 episode, Craig posted several festive shots with such Southern Charm castmates as Austen Kroll, Shep Rose, Venita Aspen, and Patricia Altschul, as well as his girlfriend, Summer House’s Paige DeSorbo. In the caption, he also shared some behind-the-scenes info that you might have missed in the finale.
“Hours and hours of fun were had,” Craig captioned his September 29 pre-episode post, adding a red heart emoji. “We celebrated to the moon and back. It was a pleasure sharing it with everyone.”
In the comments, Venita even wrote, “What a night,” along with a diamond emoji.
But as shown in the episode, Craig wasn’t exactly pleased to share the evening with everyone. After “annoying” Naomie Olindo and making her feel “awkward,” following a real-life “you can’t sit with us” moment, Craig had a tense moment with his ex. Leva Bonaparte, for one, didn’t take kindly to his behavior.
After Leva defended her close friend Naomie, an intense confrontation ensued and Craig ultimately kicked her out of his holiday party. On her way home, she didn’t waste any time unfollowing Craig on social media, along with the fellow party-goers she felt supported him telling her to leave. They included Venita, Paige, and Austen, along with Kathryn Dennis and Madison LeCroy.
The end result was a far cry from the direction Craig’s current girlfriend wanted things to go between him and his ex. Following percolating tension all season, Paige encouraged Craig to offer Naomie an “olive branch” ahead of the bash.
Either way, they’ll all have the opportunity to hash things out again when the upcoming Southern Charm Season 8 reunion premieres on Thursday, October 6, at 9/8c.
